Volunteers Needed Week of 6/13/11!

We are about 80% done with the mural at BCFI that we started last year. Brian Snyder and I have been talking about finding some times when a bunch of us can get out there together and crank out the finishing touches. Having some concentrated work will be cost-effective too, since we have to rent the wheels and boards for the scaffolding.

Tracing the Design

Tuesday night from 9:00 p.m. until about midnight the design was traced onto the wall. We used a four extension cords, donated scaffolding, wax pencils, a projector and laptop, and a few cups of coffee. Tracing went smoothly thanks to good weather and positive attitudes. Thank you to Fred from BCFI for keeping the lights on for us and to Kincaid Henry and R & M Building Systems for the scaffold.

Priming the wall

Thank you to everyone who came out to paint the wall. A special thank you to Kaleb who volunteered his time and a paint sprayer. He helped us get the job done so quickly.
